Job description
Newport based manufacturing operation part of a large global Group. We are recruiting for a Management Accountant to assist in providing financial support, information and guidance to the Site Operations functions. Supporting site transformation activity, embracing all aspects of cost monitoring and control. The role will involve participating as a member of the Manufacturing Finance team and substituting for the Finance Manager to support the site Management team. Specific duties include: adherence to Group Financial Policies; preparation of capital cases and their post investment benefit reviews and the monitoring of ongoing projects; support stock control initiatives; support projects including monthly cost and forecast review; input to business plan, and regular forecast reviews; ad hoc projects and reports for operations and support services functions as required; support Commercial department in bid activity; support continuous improvement activity; assist the Financial Controller of Operations and Site Finance Manager as required; manage and develop Accounting personnel, with regular performance reviews. Requirements: qualified Accountant; experienced in management accounting in a large Manufacturing environment; SAP knowledge beneficial; strong MS Excel skills; proven track record of delivery and meeting deadlines.
