Job description
An experienced Management Accountant is required to covers a maternity cover role for a market-leading organisation based in Birmingham. The successful Management Accountant will be looking after a Specialist Operations division producing month ends, processing journals and producing analysis and costing for the project division. It is highly desirable for the Accountant to have experience of operational finance and communicating with non-financial Business Heads and advising on financial matters. The successful Management Accountant will be fully qualified or currently at the latter stages of studying a professional accountancy qualification and willing to commit to a 12-month contract term. Knowledge of SAP and Cognos is desirable but not essential and you will also be required to have intermediate MS Excel skills. The role will involve holding meetings and advising non-financial Managers on budgets and other financial issues, experience of this is a must within a large commercial organisation. The role is working for a large nationally recognised market leader, who is seeking a strong operational finance orientated Management Accountant for a 12 month maternity cover opportunity, situated in one of its specialist divisions. There are very good road links available to the site and onsite parking. Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
