Job description
A leading Yorkshire based Housing association is keen to appoint a qualified Housing Specialist into a Management Accounting role. Managing a team of 7, you will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts for the company, its subsidiaries & business streams, including variance analysis. Duties: the production of monthly performance reports for the Group; work with Business Managers to support budgetary management & to enhance their understanding of the financial implications of their business decisions; support Business Managers in the production of annual budgets & in assessing the financial impact of new projects & ventures; support the Financial Accountant in the production of the annual statutory accounts, tax computations & other regulatory/statutory returns; support the Financial Planning team & Business Managers in the longer term planning for the group, subsidiaries & business streams; manage the work & performance of the Assistant Accountants & Performance Staff & develop their skills to improve overall performance of the team. Suitable candidates will be qualified Accountants with a solid background from within the Housing sector. Particular emphasis will be placed on candidates with experience of driving through value for money improvements. You will have good IT skills, leadership experience & strong management accounting skills. Benefits package: salary £40k per annum plus car allowance; final salary pension & other benefits.
