Job description
Our client is a leading Manufacturing organisation, which is one of the market leaders within its field. Due to internal promotion my client is looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join their West Yorkshire office. Reporting through to the FC, the successful individual will take responsibility for preparing monthly financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows and variance analysis, prepare and analyse key performance metrics, reconcile balance sheet, overhead variances, assist the FC in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts and ensure company's systems of internal controls meet Sarbanes-Oxley demands. The Management Accountant will also take direct responsibility for the Management Accounting team, including supervision of staff along with training and development. The successful individual will be qualified ACA, ACCA or ACMA who has gained financial accounting experience working ideally within a manufacturing environment, must possess strong leadership and management skills with a strong understanding of modern financial practises and techniques. Strong Excel experience is also required. Due to the progressive nature of the department, it is envisaged that the successful individual will have the opportunity for career progression to FC with 18 months to 2 years.
