Management Accounts Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced & established Retail Finance team. As a Management Accounts Assistant you will work within our Property Retail Finance team liaising closely with our internal & external finance partners.
About the role
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Responsibility for the preparation of month end accounts, accruals and prepayments on property costs lines in the P&L.
- Development of month end accounts analysis and reporting.
- Reviewing balance sheet reviews, production and allocation of stores budgets, forecasts, providing advice, insight & analysis.
- Ensuring business gets the best resources whilst driving costs down.
- Providing an insight and analysis to customers on potential opportunities and trends.
- Projects & strategic decision-making by providing relevant information/analysis to key customers.
- Developing relationships with key customers in terms of their MI needs and KPI management.
- Developing and improving processes.
- Accounting for Trade Depot including statutory accounts and monthly HFM submission.
About you
The successful candidate is likely to be/demonstrate:
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
- Effectively communicate and interpersonal skills.
- Confidently liaise with external parties at all levels.
- Good MS Office skills, especially Excel, knowledge of Finance Systems such as SAP, Cognos.
- Having the ability to prioritise own work.
- A strong team player with drive and self-motivation.
- Studying for a professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, AAT) preferred but not essential.
