Job description

About Acteon

Acteon specialises in supplying the Oil and Gas industry with technology linking the seabed with the surface. The Norwich Headquartered Company’s 19 subsidiaries operate in most of the world’s major oil and gas sites, providing services which span the production cycle from exploration to decommissioning. Backed by energy industry investor First Reserve, they have been featured in a number of Sunday Times ‘Fast Track’ league tables in recent years and revenues are now approaching £400m.

To support the continued growth of the business Acteon has a programme to develop its future leaders called ‘PACER’.

About PACER

Acteon has developed a structured, group-wide approach towards identifying and developing high calibre personnel with an aptitude for business improvement and management.

Talented individuals from within and outside the group are selected to take part in an intensive learning and development programme whilst continuing to contribute to the day-to-day performance of various Acteon subsidiaries. This provides a clear route for future senior roles for the strongest performers.

Individuals work on operational issues across the group, coached by one of Acteon's Executive Vice Presidents, Paul Alcock, so they continually learn about themselves and their own performance, as well as the company.

The Role

It is anticipated that you will be based in Group Finance for the first 3 months of your appointment to give a solid knowledge base of the group, prior to moving into an Analyst role supporting one or more of Acteon’s VPs. In this Analyst role you will be required to undertake a high proportion of travel, including internationally, to be effective within this role and therefore there is considerable flexibility where you can be based. Your role will be shaped by the demands of the business and will be project driven and may include business reviews and re-structuring and working in conjunction with senior management of subsidiaries to optimise their businesses performance.

Key Experience

This is an exceptional role and we are seeking high achievers with clear track records of success in their careers to date. Your background should include the following:

  • Professional accounting qualification – ACA or CIMA.
  • Likely to have post qualified experience.
  • International outlook/experience.
  • Significant track record of delivery.
  • Proven fast track career progression.
