Job description
A Manager of Business Support Unit is required to work for Top 20 Practice based in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity based within the Business Support team. Rewards attached to this position are £45,000 per year plus excellent benefits. This team provides clients with a full spectrum of accounting and back office services, including VAT compliance, bookkeeping, accounts preparation management accounting budgeting and forecasting. The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of clients and assist in the technical and career development of junior team members. Duties will include: looking after a portfolio of clients, with a focus on the Financial sector; reviewing and preparation of financial statements under LLP SORP, IFRS, and UK GAAP; reviewing monthly management accounts, and reporting findings to clients; reviewing VAT returns; assisting with the preparation of FSA projections for FSA applications and ICAAPs; assisting with the preparation of budgets, cash flows and forecasts. You will be: a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent or by experience); relevant experience gained in a similar Accounts Manager role, ideally from a Top 30 firm; good knowledge of financial reporting standards both UK and international; strong organisational and time management skills; a good knowledge of Sage and preferably other accounting packages, such as Caseware.
