Job description
Key accountabilities: support delivery of margin reporting to the business; establish yourself as a subject matter expert in all margin related activity; support and deliver developments in reporting to ensure that the margin data available enables the Financial Reporting team to deliver against business needs; add value through insightful analysis and commentary and ensure you remain close to daily, weekly and monthly performance of the business from both a financial and commercial aspect; develop and maintain an audit trail from the ledger to reported margins and demonstrate an understanding of the benefits and limitations of the information; understand the commercial drivers of the business and support and challenge business assumptions in relation to forecasting, reporting and ad hoc scenarios or business cases; building key relationships and communicating with colleagues in the finance and product community, playing an important role in the decision-making process by presenting information in a clear and articulate way. The right candidate will either qualified or qualified by experience and have advanced Excel skills. Any experience within the Financial Services sector would be beneficial but not essential. The candidate must also be confident and have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
