Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen within this global market leader for an Auditor. The role: take responsibility for managing audits to support the Management Board in supervising the company, implementing strategies and strengthening adherence to their principles. The purpose of the role is to ensure that high standards of security and internal controls are maintained in critical risk areas for the company. The main responsibility of the role is to provide the Senior Management with independent, objective assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control environment. Key elements of the function include risk assessments and control reviews but also consulting activities designed to add value and improve business processes and operations. The scope of Corporate Audit within the business is broad and involves topics such as the efficacy of operations, the reliability of financial reporting, deterring and investigating safeguarding assets and compliance with laws and regulations. Duties: responsible for planning and conducting Financial Services and other operational audits, including communication of the results, under the supervision of a Lead Auditor; regularly support audits of other subsidiaries UK and Globally; compilation of reports, for Board Member; provide independent assurance to management on the conduct of major business projects to ensure that new systems and processes are developed with appropriate controls in place; follow-up on the implementation of audit recommendations; collect ideas and support the preparation of the annual audit plan. This is an excellent career opportunity for a qualified Accountant or equivalent who has worked in a similar environment either in Practice or industry. You will be required to travel about 30% UK and overseas travel. Interfacing at levels you will a strong communicator both in written and oral skills.
