Job description
Our client, a branded Manufacturer within the food arena is currently seeking an Operations Accountant. This newly created role is a result of a restructure within the department and will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation. The assignment: the position will focus on supporting management within operations, production and logistics; you will therefore be responsible for providing accurate reporting, monitoring and analysis of operational costs; in addition, duties will include the development of product costing methodology, financial stock control and analysis and process and system improvement. The candidate: applicants will be professionally qualified in either CIMA/ACCA/ACA with previous experience of working in an FMCG or manufacturing environment. The role requires an individual who can form strong working relationships with the operations and logistic teams across the business. Your input will be valued, as you will be representative for finance in monthly meetings. Therefore it is essential that you have strong communication skills, the ability to relate to non-finance staff and the confidence to challenge others.
