Job description
A leading, global, Liverpool based business has an opening in its Business Operations department. A senior operations role within Business Operations, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of specialist support staff as well as playing a key role in delivering operational change and managing service provider relationships. Key responsibilities: oversee the pensions, offshore bond, private equity, mutual fund, performance measurement and internal accounts administration and support functions; own all aspects of people management including recruitment, training and development and performance appraisal of staff; build and develop a high quality team capable of managing daily functions, supporting business growth, and implementing continuous process improvements; promote best practice within the team, ensuring all team activities are carried out in accordance with FSA regulations and company policies; oversee team projects and use opportunities afforded by the project to develop other members of the team. You will have: strongly identify with corporate vision and sets objectives closely aligned to strategy; a good understanding of the local regulatory environment; strong project management skills, including using appropriate project management techniques to plan and implement business change; has good technical understanding across a wide range of investment instruments, fund types and products; previous experience of working in investment operations is a preference. You will be: a confident leader and people Manager capable of developing talent and guiding others to achieve company goals; a lateral thinker who designs and implements innovative solutions to problems; educated to degree level or equivalent.
