Job description
Based in Glasgow City Centre, our client a world leading Service organisation, seeks a part-qualified or qualified Accountant with experience of working within a professional CA firm, seeking their move from the profession to fulfil a one year fixed term contract. This job would suit a candidate with experience of preparing accounts and financial statements for a varied client portfolio. Job responsibilities include: accurate and timely production of financial reports and associated information on behalf of our clients; acting as key point of contact for clients; ensuring that any allocated/ad hoc work is dealt with promptly and accurately; ensuring that all procedures are properly complied with and that liaison with external organisations is dealt with promptly; assisting in the collation and review of required Management Information; processing and checking amendments to data accurately and carefully, and ensuring that reconciliations and calculations are completed within agreed timetables; assisting with the implementation of statutory and other changes and to enhance efficiency; taking responsibility for identifying improvements in processes and making recommendations, and where agreed make changes to systems and supporting procedures. Ideal candidates will be either part-qualified or qualified and will have strong previous experience of accounts preparation and be comfortable with all financial accounting terms. Furthermore you should be able to work well as part of a team, will possess excellent communication skills and will thrive working to deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
