Job description

This Personal Tax Assistant's job with a national firm of Chartered Accountants will most likely appeal to candidates with a general Practice/tax background, who have an interest in tax and would like to further their career within this service area. The firm is renowned for its high calibre client base and supportive, working environment. Reporting to the Manager and the Senior Manager, your duties will include: working closely with a wide and varied private client list, including high net worth individuals, Directors, partners, trusts and landed estates; preparing personal tax computations and returns; preparing P11Ds; assisting with capital gains tax queries; liaising with HMRC both verbally and in writing; assisting with tax planning work; attending client meetings in conjunction with the Senior Management team. Skills and experience required: applications are welcomed from candidates currently working in general Practice and/or tax, who are keen to develop a career within tax, with the possibility of studying for a professional qualification, should you so wish; you should have a good eye for detail and be prepared to assist colleagues where necessary with their case load.
