Job description
The purpose of the position is to provide a comprehensive project accounting and project coordination service to this successful and well established business, to be responsible for the production of project related financial data and its communication to the FD. Coordinate and support all aspects of projects to ensure schedule and budget adherence. Responsibilities: provide sound financial support in respect of cost and price formulation for new and follow on business; be responsible for the production and accuracy of all project financial data to include making appropriate decisions in conjunction with Project Managers; be responsible for one direct line report; deputise for the FD as necessary and act as delegated authority; provide monthly variance analysis; provide management, insight and guidance on all financial activities and related matters including current programmes and proposals; management support, advice and interpretation of performance indicators and monthly reports; support Managers and their teams at monthly programme reviews; provide monthly financial information to Managers on individual programmes; create and maintain risk registers, hold regular risk reviews. The successful candidate will be an active part-qualified Accountant or fully qualified, with advanced Excel skills and high computer literacy, ideally with experience of Oracle or another ERP package. Project accounting experience would be advantageous.
