Job description
We are currently looking for an interim Project Accountant to join our client for a 3 month contract. Working for a large blue chip business based in Greater Manchester. Main duties within the role would include: assisting in the preparation of board papers and conducting financial appraisal as part of the capital process; helping in various aspects of the completion of the budgeting process (Cognos); helping prepare tenders to submit to local authorities to secure medium term contracts; financial modelling to assist in appraisal processes – these are many and various, both short and medium term; constructing pricing models; ad hoc work as required. To be successful for this position you will be a self-starter and have the ability to work on your own initiative. You will need to be nearing the end of your accountancy studies and had previous exposure to financial accounts and capital processes. Experience of CEDAR/Cognos systems would be preferable and advanced Excel knowledge is essential.
