Job description

My client a leading Project Investment/Construction organisation situated near to Maidenhead is recruiting for a Project Accountant. Being one of four Project Accountants you will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting connected with a portfolio of PFI projects. The job holder will deliver accurate and timely reporting that meets the requirements of statutory bodies, lenders and shareholders. You will also provide commercial support to the project management team. You will be responsible for three projects ranging from £50m-£300m. With new projects being signed up on a regular basis, my client is predicting an exciting start to 2012 in terms of growth and opportunity. As well as being responsible for the financials on your projects, you will take the Finance lead at board meetings and present to the board and project team for each project. As well as building strong relationships with shareholders and lenders. You will be responsible for the following: preparation of UK GAAP management accounts & Group reporting submissions under IFRS including commentary, statutory accounts and audit liaison, cash flow forecasting and treasury management, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, supporting the 6-monthly model update process, dealing with queries from third party shareholders and lenders, corporation tax returns, VAT returns and any other statutory submissions, balance sheet reconciliation, ad hoc projects and support for the concession management team and deputising for the Finance Manager where appropriate. The ideal candidate will be a Finalist or qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with considerable experience in Project Accounting both technical and Management reporting. A self-starter that is able to influence and present to internal and external stakeholders. Advanced Excel is essential. Occasional travel in the UK. Interviews to commence w/c 13 February 2012.
