Project Accountant – Group Transformation within Financial Management

At Nationwide, we’re in the middle of a half billion pound transformation programme. And with a portfolio of over 100 programmes and projects – all of which need to be delivered with pace, efficiency and quality, the role of Finance in supporting the Group Transformation division is crucial.
A more challenging role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with numerous Project Managers, you’ll provide commercial and financial support for a portfolio of transformation projects. Much more than a standard accountancy role, you’ll be expected to see each project through from start to finish, taking full responsibility for its entire financial life cycle. So you’ll keep track of costs, develop budgets and monthly forecasts and ensure that planning deadlines are met. You’ll also provide detailed financial reviews throughout and make monthly tracking and accounting adjustments as you see fit. What’s more, by spotting ways to develop and improve our processes, you’ll play a vital part in the ongoing financial success of the investment programme and help Nationwide achieve its strategic goals; to become the UK leader in its field.
