Job description

Our client is an established National Asset Management Practice with a number of blue chip clients; as it reorganises and wins new instruction it has instructed us to recruit a Client Accountant for their Finance team. The role will incorporate all aspects of commercial client accounting for a designated portfolio and will include: producing and sending out ‘bespoked’ client statements and handling client queries as and when raised; raising demands and transferring rents collected as and when cleared with appropriate backup; ensuring ad hoc demands/monthly charges are demanded promptly; approving service charge budgets, updating tenant charges and producing service charge accounts where required and balancing charges and journals; reconciling bank accounts monthly; producing VAT reports and receipts as appropriate and as and when due; produce weekly arrears reports, ensuring that notes are updated and assisting with credit control; liaising and auctioning surveyor instructions; raising non-fixed management fees; ensure firms money laundering procedures and RICS regulations are adhered to; attending and contributing to team/client/surveyor meetings as appropriate. The person: will be an experienced Property Client Accountant and possess strong written and verbal presentation skills and have a full understanding of client and service charge accounting and reporting in a property environment; strong IT skills and knowledge of Excel and TRAMPS, QUBE/ECS, APB, YARDI or similar is required.
