Job description
Advantage Professional is currently recruiting a Purchase Ledger Manager for a blue chip organisation based in Cheshire. This varied will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Purchase Ledger team. Your main duties will involve: manage the accounts payable processes; build relationships with suppliers and ensure customer levels remain high; manage a team of Purchase Ledger Clerks; provide support with projects and ad hoc work; ensure all systems, policies and procedures are followed and implement further ones to specific standards. You will have experience of working in a busy and high pressurised environment. The department is a high volume Processing team therefore having previous experience of working to tight deadlines and used to working with a high volume of work would be advantageous. It is expected you will have a strong working knowledge of the full process from start to finish within purchase ledger. It is essential that you have previous management skills, either within a large or a small team and have developed staff and mentored them, with regular 121s. Ideally you will be used to improving processes and reviewing these and make changes accordingly. Excellent communication skills are essential and you need to be able to deal with challenges that arise and influence people around you. Strong IT skills are needed, ideally you will have previous working knowledge of an ERP system, for example SAP or Oracle. This role is paying between £22,000 - £27,000, dependent on your level of experience.
