Job description
Our client, a global Real Estate Investment and Asset Manager, is looking for a Sector Controller, Real Estate to join the Accounting function of its Real Estate team. Based in Luxembourg office you will be responsible for looking after the Accounts function for their German portfolio of investments. You will be expected to liaise with a number of external parties in order to carry out financial due diligence on the various acquisitions of the group and will also be expected to liaise with third parties overseeing the outsourced accounts production and therefore applicants will be both technically sound (consolidations, NAV reporting and fund accounting) and articulate. As an ongoing element of the role you will have to oversee and review the quarterly accounting process for the fund and calculate all performance data for the individual assets; for that reason you will have previously worked within a funds environment. Due to the various intricacies and structuring of the portfolio the role will also entail; the preparation of German tax calculations for numerous entities and liaison with Local Advisors and authorities. To apply you will be a fluent German speaker and have had exposure to the region before. Additionally, you will be a qualified CA (ideally Top 6) and be commercially astute, speak fluent English and be proficient with Excel.
