Job description
A fantastic new job, in Manchester, with for one of the world's leading insurers. The purpose of the role is to establish, manage and administer up to four Risk Office teams with the aim of enhancing the risk underwriting and monitoring capabilities of the company line with the quality standards. Duties will include: improving the technical skills of direct reports through regular coaching, appraisal and guidance in order to enhance the overall quality of risk monitoring; maintaining management information to enable accurate and timely monitoring of Risk Office activities, output and results; identifying and reporting upon adverse risk exposures to minimise claims from foreseeable failures; assist underwriters in achieving their renewal/new business premium target by identifying and reporting on buyer risk improvements to maximise premium earning potential by creating capacity; develop an effective strategy to establish and grow a base of valuable banking and other professional contacts in order to promote the image and profile of the company and improve its information gathering capabilities; continually review, recommend, and implement innovative ideas to ensure best practice is established throughout the Risk Offices. Required qualifications, knowledge and experience: degree or equivalent and/or equivalent industry experience; excellent credit risk analysis and report writing skills; excellent organisational and time management skills; excellent people management skills; full clean driving licence; commercially aware and fully conversant with MS Office applications; enhanced benefits package included and further details will be given to successful applicants.
