Job description
A successful international Retailer is seeking a proactive, engaged qualified Accountant to join its team as a Reporting and Analysis Manager. This is an extremely commercial role reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and has a very good chance of going permanent. The key responsibilities include: providing financial modelling for business cases that support new initiatives; responsibility for the balance sheet and P&L forecast; tracking and reporting against capital expenditure commitment on initiatives; ownership of the direct cost budgets; setting budgets and then partnering with the Leadership team to ensure stay within budget; management and reporting of capital budgets/spend including ROIs, remodels and support to the Property team; support to new business developments - business cases, assessment, presenting to key stakeholders and reporting on performance. As the successful candidate you will be commercially focused with roles post qualification where you were involved in business cases, dealing with stakeholders and helping to drive the business forwards. Prior modelling and financial experience is essential. You will need to have excellent systems skills including Microsoft Excel with familiarity of planning systems such as TM1 and Oracle being considered advantageous. Aside from the technical knowledge excellent communication skills across all levels are essential as is a genuine interest in the business and a desire to learn more.
