Job description

We are working with a cutting-edge, fast growing global media business that has impressive year on year growth and continual success winning new business. Due to this growth a new role has been created that is a perfect entry point to the business for a qualified Accountant with a Practice/audit background. They can offer great career development opportunities and this position is seen as a launch pad to other roles in the future. Responsibilities: mapping and documenting business and accounting processes; improving and streamlining processes where required to reduce risk and strengthen internal control; performing an internal control review of the business and suggesting areas for strengthening and improving internal control; carrying out internal audits on a periodic basis in UK and other satellite offices; working closely with the systems team to optimise the accounting system - recommending changes where required to support newly tightened processes; assisting the reporting process across the satellite; analysing monthly results and producing management reports - including commentary on variances to budget, increase in costs etc; ensuring compliance with statutory requirements including statutory accounts and tax. Ideally you will be ACA/ACCA qualified have previous experience within a practice environment - ideally with audit experience; strong systems experience including Excel and strong communication skills.
