Overview

Our Customer Value Management (CVM) team, is currently expanding and undergoing an exciting transformation. The purpose of this is to refocus effort from hunting to farming customers and to focus on lifecycle management as a strategy for sustaining future revenue growth. As a result of this expansion, we are looking to hire a number of permanent commercial, marketing and data analysis roles to join the team.

Role Purpose

This role will have the responsibility for managing the overall retention budget for Vodafone UK. This will include full year planning, quarterly forecasts and month by month trading. Key to this role will be to understand day-to-day performance in order to identify opportunities to maximise ROI. There will be a need to deliver first class commercial analysis, working with Finance, Customer Insights and The Retention Optimisation Manager to develop strategic initiatives to control spend whilst minimising customer churn.

Key Accountabilities

Impact on the business:

  • Lead development of budget and quarterly planning cycles for Retention.
    • Work with Finance and the Postpay Segment to ensure robust forecast by channel and customer segment.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

Essential:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent standard.
  • Economic/financial (spreadsheet) modelling.
  • Extensive commercial experience (mobile telecomms experience preferable but not required).
  • Highly numerate and commercial minded. Proven ability to interpret commercial and financial analysis with evidence of delivery of results.
  • Track record of being responsible for a key commercial performance driver of a blue chip company.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Competent and confident in relationship building, and able to influence senior management.
  • Passionate about the customer.
