Job description
RattrayParkin is currently supporting the recruitment requirements of a leading US listed Manufacturer which is seeking to recruit a high calibre finance professional to take a key position within their Group Internal Audit function. The role would be an ideal step for a candidate with aspirations to gain an in-depth knowledge of the Group Financial and Operational functions including Europe, USA and Asia. A self-starter and good organisational skills are essential to take on this demanding role where the opportunity to contribute to business development is on a global scale. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit based in the USA, the Internal Auditor will be based in Sheffield and take wide ranging responsibility for the improvement of financial and operational controls and processes across the group. There is a manageable degree of travel involved, providing you with exposure to the global business and to senior management, without compromising your work life balance. You will preferably be, but not essentially, qualified (or equivalent) and possession relevant internal audit experience gained within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment would be advantageous. Duties: planning and completing the internal audit program for UK, France, Ireland, Malaysia and assisting with the completion of the USA audit program; issuing reports to local management and the Audit committee; provide expert advice to the FCs on the group accounting procedures; identifying, implementing and monitoring business process and control improvements; involvement in special projects and investigations. You will possess strong systems and Excel skills along with well-developed interpersonal skills, allowing them to effectively present findings and recommendations to Senior Management. The ideal candidate will also have the credibility to operate effectively with all levels in the organisation, supporting Business Managers as well as providing guidance to the Finance team.
