Sales/Purchase Ledger Supervisor

Greencore Group is a leading international Manufacturer of convenience foods. We have 24 sites in the UK, US and Ireland and employ almost 10,000 people.

We are currently recruiting for a Sales/Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join our team in Northampton.

Reporting to the FC the main purpose of the role is to manage the processing of our Ledgers and the billing process as well as credit control of M&S and Supplier accounts.

The ideal candidate will be organised, ambitious and able to plan their own workload effectively. Line management experience would also be advantageous as an Accounts Assistant will report directly to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Sales Ledger and Indirect Purchase Ledger processing.
  • Management of billing process and Invoice posting queries.
  • Credit control of M&S and Supplier accounts.
  • Liaise with despatch on invoice or POD queries.
  • Manage workload of Accounts Assistant.
  • Systems development and documentation of processes.
  • Provide support to the Financial Accountant as required.
  • Providing cover for the Transactional team as required.

Qualifications & Experience required:

  • Experience in a similar finance role.
  • Staff management experience essential.
  • Proven track record of effective credit control.
  • Part-qualified or qualified by experience.
