Job description
A highly reputable Financial Services organisation, is recruiting a Financial Controls Specialist (FCS) who will be responsible for supporting the business & individual process/control owners to achieve Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for the business unit. The FCS will work with the business to facilitate remediation, testing, change control, attestation & provide advice & training as necessary; documentation & quality assurance: to support the control owner in ensuring that there is an effective monitoring process in place to determine overall control & effectiveness; change control; advise the business & facilitate the process to ensure that all changes that impact Sarbanes-Oxley compliance are documented, managed & controlled in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley change control process; remediation; where controls have identified issues, FCS should work with the business owner to ensure that appropriate action plans are established, prioritised & delivers within acceptable timescales; testing & quality assurance; management assurance is an annual assessment of the effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting; attestation; FCS will support the Attestation process which confirms the effectiveness of the control framework on a regular basis. You must be either ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or studying towards your professional qualification or equivalent; prior experience of financial control/Sarbanes-Oxley; audit experience (internal or external) of the FS sector.
