Job description
Great opportunity to join a high profile Audit team within a large commercial business based in Basingstoke. As a senior member of the team you will help the business to identify and manage its key risks and provide management and the Audit Committee with appropriate assurance. Duties include: produce terms of reference and audit programmes for a wide variety of audits; interpreting policy and procedure and applying professional accounting and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate complex financial records and operational systems; conduct interviews with staff and management as part preparation for audit, audit testing and to present finding; developing recommendations for bringing programs and operations into compliance with goals and objectives, and writes reports documenting findings; preparing of work papers, schedules, and summaries; to perform research to locate and summarise applicable laws and best practice guidelines; assist in fraud investigations; ad hoc projects as required. The right candidate for this role will have proven previous auditing experience and hold relevant Professional qualification, ie CCAB, PIIA, MIIA. Looking for an excellent communicator (written and verbal) who is able to liaise well at all levels within the business. This includes skills in interviewing, negotiating, influencing and reporting. You will need to have strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills. You will have an enquiring mind with the ability to see the job through within agreed time frames. Having the ability to adapt in a fast moving and constantly changing organisation, able to analyse complex and diverse situations working on your own initiative to generate solutions.
