Job description
Job title: Audit Senior. Reports to: Business Services Manager. Department: general practice - business services. Purpose of job: to ensure statutory year end accounts are produced accurately and within deadlines and budgets audit of small, medium and large business; preparation and audit of large company consolidated financial statements; to provide a high quality service to a variety of clients; to ensure that accounts are produced accurately and with deadlines and budgets set; to liaise with clients with respect to their accounts high quality report preparation for client presentations; to supervise and guide junior team members when required; preparation and audit of taxation computations and deferred tax computations. Principal responsibilities: produces accurate year end accounts within deadlines and budgets (attention to detail/quality, technical, managing self and others, teamwork); carries out ad hoc assignments with assistance ensuring that all statutory deadlines are met; supervises and trains junior members of the team; deals quickly and effectively with client queries (client focus); manages workload to ensure all tasks are completed according to deadlines set (managing self and others); reporting directly to Manager and Director on audit outcomes. Qualification/Attributes: qualified ACA or ACCA; knowledge of audit, accounts and tax software; motivated to provide the highest quality service to clients; flexible and able to provide solutions; excellent accounting skills; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to liaise with people at all levels; excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively for self and junior team members.
