The group aims to take leadership positions in markets that offer the potential for profitable growth whilst delivering quality products and services that are central to people’s lives.
Due to internal progression, the group is now looking to recruit a high calibre senior finance professional who is looking for a challenging entry point role offering fast track career progression in a truly global organisation. Reporting into the Business Performance Director and with regular exposure to the Group CEO, and Group FD you will be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining broad network of effective relationships within the Group ensuring that key stakeholders have full and appropriate knowledge of business performance and business issues.
- Developing a thorough understanding of a set of Group businesses, markets and operations identifying any commercial opportunities and highlighting any business risks.
- Generating and presenting insightful and concise information regarding actual and predicted performance of business units and their business plans to the Board.
- Monitoring, understanding and challenging divisional and company plans and initiatives.
- Reviewing, challenging and facilitating Capex requests.
The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified accountant with exceptional communication skills and the credibility and gravitas to work at Board level.
You will have a commercial mind set and the emotional intelligence to challenge current thinking and influence in a positive and constructive manner. You will also have the analytical ability and experience to spot trends, digest information quickly and distil issues effectively.
The diverse nature of operations within the Group means the successful candidate will work across a range of businesses and territories and will have the ability to progress within this highly prestigious global business. Although this role is based in central London, this progression will likely involve relocations in future to senior roles at other Group business locations in the UK or abroad.
