Job description
Our client is a global business with operations around the world and is a true market leader. They are recruiting for a high calibre Financial Accounting Manager to join one of their UK divisions. Supporting the UK Controller, you will be responsible for providing technical controllership, review, leadership and guidance to both finance and operations leaders for this complex entity and will manage a team of 15 overseeing accounting, reporting, AP, cash and AR. You will be responsible for management reporting packs and presentation to senior management including UK business summaries, project results, team’s strategy etc as well as supporting the annual pre-close, quarterly CFO risk reviews and monthly controllership reviews. The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant, with strong technical or controllership experience. You may have gained qualification in Practice (possibly Big 4) or in industry, and you will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to improve and simplify processes and procedures. You will have excellent people management skills, and will have a track record of leading and developing staff. Experience of working in a complex international business would be advantageous. This is a high profile role, with exposure to Senior Management in both the UK and EMEA teams, and therefore offers real long-term opportunities for career development.
