Job description
Our client, a large Financial Services organisation, is seeking experienced accounting professionals with experience in any of the following areas: financial/mortgage risk, capital/fraud impairment or credit risk; to business partner business management of the Mortgage Risk function and/or Fraud Impairment/Credit Policy department in providing accurate reporting and analysis of impairment, risk and associated KPIs; support capital measurement activities, through ensuring best in class analytics, stress testing and accuracy methodologies; own, develop, and maintain the tools, processes and models utilised in the control and oversight of Secured impairment; work closely with colleagues to ensure any redevelopment or recalibration of the underlying provisions models are fit for purpose, and allow the business to maintain an appropriate level of provision; ensure compliance with the provisioning policy, accounting standards, Sarbanes-Oxley controls and Group data accuracy standards; work closely with Business Unit and Divisional Finance colleagues to ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and accounting standards as well as provision of appropriate risk measures in pricing of new business mortgage product range; assist in the transition to the new IFRS9 impairment requirements, ensuring all modelling, reporting and analytics are best in class post adoption; provide subject matter expert (SME) support for impairment or financial risk, into all mortgage integration activity, ensuring all modelling, reporting and analytics capabilities remain optimal and functional; take ownership of ad hoc research/analysis projects as required, delivering insight and identifying conclusions and business implications; deputise for the Finance Capital Manager/Risk Manager as required. You will be a qualified Accountant from a Financial Services background, displaying proven experience in one of the aforementioned fields.
