Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant for a large complex PLC based in Peterborough. Main responsibilities: responsible for balance sheet and cash flow reporting/forecasting across the UK Group, FX and hedging impact analysis, internal and external audit compliance and year end statutory accounts. Key areas/tasks: develop and enhance balance sheet and cash flow forecasting for PLC; provide technical support to implementation of agreed financial policies and practice for the PLC ensuring compliance with IFRS; report on financial impacts of FX and hedging decisions and ensure compliance with Group policy and IFRS; develop and enhance financial and risk control procedures to implement best practice and provide early warning of potential exposures; coordination of year end activities including sign-off of IAS accounts to and annual reports; development and enhancement of reporting systems through further automation of processes; to be able to apply you must be fully ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified; experience working in large company head office environment dealing with complex consolidations; experience of statutory reporting at group level; leadership of a team of qualified Accountants; experience of accounting for multi-currency FX transactions; approachable, good communication skills and able to operate at all levels within the hierarchy.
