Job description
A fixed term contract job opportunity has arisen for a qualified level Internal Auditor to join this well known business in the Hampshire area. The role will last for 9-12 months and will involve limited UK travel (c30%). The role: a senior member of a high profile team helping the business to identify and manage its key risks and provide management and the Audit committee with appropriate assurance; produce terms of reference and audit programmes for a wide variety of audits; interpreting policy and procedure and applying professional accounting and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate complex financial records and operational systems; conduct interviews with staff and management as part preparation for audit, audit testing and to present finding; developing recommendations for bringing programs and operations into compliance with goals and objectives, and writes reports documenting findings; preparing of work papers, schedules, and summaries; to perform research to locate and summarise applicable laws and best practice guidelines; assist in fraud investigations; ad hoc projects as required; excellent communicator with people at all levels within the business; expert in the use of Microsoft Word, and Excel; interviewing, negotiating, influencing and reporting skills; personal integrity, confidentiality and commitment to maintaining the standards of the group; ability to adapt in a fast moving and constantly changing organisation; ability to use own initiative to generate solutions for the Internal Audit function and also for the group; previous auditing experience; (operational/financial); professional qualifications - PIIA, MIIA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
