Job description
Due to a recent restructure brought about through continued growth, our client, a listed Cambridge based organisation requires a high calibre qualified Accountant to join them as Group Management Accountant. Reporting to the Group FC, this is a cross-functional, outward-facing role which, will be, highly visible across the company and which will bring the post-holder into contact with a wide range of business areas. As such, interested applicants will to possess a robust personality and be able demonstrate the ability to communicate credibly and effectively with non-finance colleagues. The role is responsible for the production, analysis and reporting of key financial data within the organisation ensuring that Managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information. The post-holder will be expected to provide strategic advice on financial matters to senior management and for the production and subsequent in-depth analysis and investigation of group budgets, forecasts and business plans. Aside from the personal qualities listed above, interested applicants will possess significant commercial accounting experience gained from within a large, complex organisation. You will also need to be highly IT literate and be proficient with macros and, ideally, visual basic within Excel.
