Job description
My client is one of the leading Property Development and Management companies in London and the South East with a turnover between £115m - £120m. It manages over 25,000 homes for over 60,000 residents and is currently looking to employ a Senior Management Accountant to join its fast-paced, results driven finance department, who will also act as a Senior Finance Business Partner to budget holders. Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering business and financial expertise that will help budget holders in the decision-making process, along with overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing management information and business guidance in areas such as new business. The role will involve analysing variance from budgets, producing key financial performance indicators and ensuring the team works proactively with budget holders in the preparation of annual budgets and revised forecasts. The successful applicant will be a qualified Accountant and possess the ability to thoroughly challenge budget holders whilst maintaining excellent working relationships. The post-holder will be proactive and customer focussed, with a real commitment to problem ownership and resolution. It is important that the applicant can identify business needs of non-financial budget holders and can present and communicate effectively. Candidates from practice who would love an opportunity to move into a business facing finance role in industry will be considered.
