Job description
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Chartered Accountant to join a leading Accountancy practice in Bristol as a Senior Manager. The firm has already seen growth both organically and through acquisition and are now ready for their next stage of growth by the introduction of a Senior Manager. Working closely with the Partners, as Senior Manager you will take on the responsibility of managing your own client portfolio of mainly corporate clients, as well as assisting the firm in the development of future business. The successful individual will be ACA qualified and currently working within a firm of Chartered Accountants; you will have already gained experience of managing your own client portfolio at a Senior Manager level, along with the ability of generating new business. Key responsibilities include: to win new business through existing clients and new opportunities; maintaining and growing your own portfolio; managing all stages of the audit and advising the partner on audit opinion; managing audit teams and reviewing their work; anticipating significant accounting issues based on experience and knowledge of other companies; being proactive in recommending solutions to these issues; advising clients on all financial reporting issues with reference to other specialists where necessary. As the successful candidate you will: be ACA/ACCA qualified; have proven auditing skills; preferably be from a Big 4 background, though practice experience is essential; have excellent knowledge of International Accounting Standards; have excellent technical skills, leadership skills and the ability to communicate.
