Job description
As part of the P&L planning team the role is responsible for two main areas. The first is project management and presentation of five year forecasts, the second is executive level reporting on trading against existing plans. Key accountabilities: taking overall responsibility for delivering P&L forecasts on a quarterly base as well as taking responsibility for preparing, reviewing and delivering monthly reports; create business partnerships with the Finance, Commercial and Risk functions to lead forecast processing; conduct analytical reviews to test values and challenge stakeholders as needed; present P&L forecasts to Senior Executives, setting out decisions and the risks involved with them; ensure that a robust audit trail is in place and keep a record of all forecasts; lead debrief sessions with stakeholders after each forecast is made; develop the team be setting and stretching goals and coaching to maximise each individuals contribution; chair weekly meetings across the different business units to ensure that all Managers are aware of their key priorities; identify and make changes to forecasts that will create enhanced insight efficiency and control. The successful candidate will have significant experience of leading preparing and presenting financial forecasts and the ability to coordinate and influence a wide variety of stakeholders. Working to tight deadlines is part and parcel of this role, therefore having the intellectual curiosity to understand the drivers of the business and delivering them in a timely and accurate manner is of high importance. You will have a successful track record in managing and leading teams as well as being able to take a pro active approach to leading projects to improve efficiency control and value adding insight. Relevant financial qualification such as ACA with a background in Transactional Services or an MBA would be desirable.
