Job description
The Senior Project Finance Manager provides a comprehensive financial service to meet the needs of change activity within this leading organisation. Key responsibilities: manage the definition and build of an appropriate Governance function and ensure ongoing adherence; manage the creation of a control process to ensure accuracy of project business cases to allow appropriate executive assessment; drive ongoing tracking, ensuring cost control and benefit realisation; enable an improved understanding of the financial implications of decisions, by defining and directing the financial information, analysis and interpretation required; lead and facilitate the planning and forecasting programmes which both meet the business unit and divisional requirements, but also understand and challenge the underlying drivers; maintain a sound financial control environment across the business units and direct action required as and when appropriate; promote and facilitate the application of finance policies and procedures within the project area, monitoring adherence to policies by management; establish best practices and take appropriate opportunities; lead a team of finance professionals, ensuring all colleagues are developed, appraised and motivated in order to deliver their individual and collective performance. Key requirements: excellent business orientation, with a good understanding of the key drivers, issues, and constraints of the business; qualified Accountant.
