Job description
Eden Scott's client is a global leader in the Oil and Gas Services industry. On the back of a recent merger the firm is now looking to continue its expansion program both in the UK and internationally. A new position has been created for a Senior Tax Advisor to support the in-house finance and tax teams. Objective: the role will be a key position within the in-house department; it will provide technical and commercial support to the business, in particular it will be involved in giving tax advice to support specific contracts or bids/ proposals. Tasks: tax planning/mitigation: tax risk management including design and implementation of appropriate controls/procedures; international tax experience - corporate/withholding taxes/payroll taxes/VAT/GST etc; commercial support - review of contracts/bids etc; providing tax support to structuring; transactions and in costing the job; transaction support - provide tax support to M&A activities; technical research; internal presentations. Qualifications & experience: Big 4 trained ideal but not essential; CA or CTA essential; extensive personal tax experience required; international tax experience advantageous.
