Job description
Our client, a leading Financial Services firm, is looking for a Statutory Accountant to join its team on a temporary contract. The role holder will form part of the Statutory Accounts and Taxation team who produce financial statements together with the calculation of interim and final distribution rates. Responsibilities will include producing accurate financial statements in SORP format, preparing reconciliations to NAV calculations for audit purposes and preparing tax provisions and audit standard packs. In addition you will prepare regulatory returns, liaise with Auditors, depositary and clients during audit process as well as work flexibly on a range of client funds as required. Candidates must be part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or hold an accountancy based degree or equivalent. You must also have accountancy experience within the Financial sector and be aware of accounting principles and standards relating to UK collective investment vehicles. Excellent PC skills, the ability to self-motivate and to work well as part of a team are essential. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well to tight deadlines are also crucial. Joslin Rowe soon to be Randstad Financial & Professional.
