Job description

Macildowie is searching for a strong Supply Chain Accountant for a growing Manufacturing Firm in Staffordshire. This progressive position is best suited to a motivated individual with exposure to supply chain and logistics. Studying or having qualified in either, ACA, ACCA or CIMA this role will represent a move into another level of financial detail for our client. The successful candidate will be curious and a quick relationship builder. Responsibilities include: regular labour and material variance analysis, explaining performance to the Operations team and challenging where necessary; review of supply chain overheads vs budget, identifying reasons for variances and challenging budget holder where necessary; preparing product costings for new products, reviewing standards and amending where necessary; Capex pre-evaluation; analysis of distribution costs; analysis of purchase price variance/buying gain; control of fixed assets; ensuring regular submission of Group operational KPIs on a timely basis; business partner Supply Chain team to drive performance.
