Job description
In addition to being a proven Financial Controller/Finance Director have you had strong exposure to the Lloyd's of London Insurance market? If so then this new opportunity with a small-medium sized underwriter could be the new role you are looking for. The role is broad and extensive giving you full remit for the Financial Management of the business and its entities. However as Finance Director you will also work closely with the board to ensure they have regular, accurate reviews on the performance and forecasts for the business. Some of your key responsibilities in this capacity will include: preparation of statutory accounts (including consolidated accounts for the holding company); management of personal accounts for investors, third party investors and re-insurer; preparation of all tax returns (including Corporation, VAT and US tax expenses); analysing capacity and purchasing/selling capacity where required; meeting Lloyd's regulatory requirements - monitoring funds at Lloyd's and ensuring solvency requirements are met; managing relationships with the companies bankers. The person: we are looking for a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who has significant experience from the Insurance industry and more specifically the Lloyd's market. You will be proven as a Finance Director or Financial Controller. In and possess excellent technical accounting skills. In addition to this we require someone who has experience of working in partnership with the business and Board of Directors.
