Job description

Sheridan Maine is recruiting a Tax & Treasury Manager on behalf of a large, leading international client with a head office in the Bournemouth area. The purpose of the role is manage the divisional VAT accounting as well as providing supplementary advice on both Employment and Indirect taxation as required for 14 separate companies in the group. You will also manage the D&S Treasury function providing day-to-day transactional services to D&S companies whilst ensuring compliance to group policies and procedures. There are 5 direct reports so it is important to effectively manage and develop the team and have the ability to influence and negotiate with senior Finance Managers to ensure key decisions, deadlines and targets are met. The successful candidate will be numerically literate and able to understand and manipulate and report on high volumes of transactional data, have a high level of computer literacy on both corporate and Microsoft based applications and hold a recognised professional qualification or have the ability to demonstrate a high level of QBE competency. You will have an investigative/enquiring mind to ensure the business remains compliant with current tax and treasury Practice.
