Job description

Working on behalf of a Swindon based client, Ambridge Harris is actively looking for a Technical Finance Manager. Working within a fast-paced Accounting Development team, you'll provide technical accounting expertise to the business in order to keep up with the demands of a changing environment. Whether changes are driven internally by a new product launch, or externally by new accounting standards, you'll interpret the impact they'll have on accounting and provide accurate advice to the Finance community and other business areas. You'll turn your hand to larger ad hoc projects on occasion too, offering quality support for key transactions such as business mergers and acquisitions. You'll also have a key role to play in the production of year end and half year published accounts with involvement in the planning, control and review processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Aside from these daily responsibilities, you'll be involved in the organisation of CPE sessions and delivering technical updates to qualified Accountants. You'll also perform reviews of existing complex accounting transactions and report on the findings. As this is a technically demanding position you will ideally be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent, preferably within Financial Services, and a good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards. The role will suit someone commercially minded with the ability to produce clear and concise reports for the Audit Committee, and communicate complex information in a straight forward manner to all levels of the business. This is an excellent opportunity to build relationships across the business. Ambridge Harris is committed to equal opportunity and diversity. Ambridge Harris will not discriminate on unlawful grounds.
