Job description
Eden Scott’s client, a global Financial Services organisation is now recruiting a qualified Accountant to join their iXBRL team. This role will involve working closely with Divisional Finance teams, group finance and group tax and will involve the review of reporting templates based on IFRS accounting standards. Responsibilities: production of UK IFRS statutory accounting templates; making changes to existing templates when necessary; use of specific software to ensure IFRS standards are interpreted into the templates; monitoring changes to UK IFRS accounting standard, interpret the impact the changes will have on the templates and implementing changes; act as a point of contact for other Finance teams transferring information and dealing with queries; oversee the roll out of software updates. Experience/background: qualified Accountant with excellent statutory experience; Financial Services or Big 4 background preferred but will consider candidates from a blue chip company background; strong IFRS statutory accounting knowledge and experience; excellent relationship management and customer service skills, reporting to Executive level; positive, proactive and enthusiasm are essential, taking ownership and responsibility for day-to-day activity.
