Job description
The role: to ensure a 3 way match of Sales orders, invoices and proof of delivery/despatch notes, and to ensure all invoices/credit notes are produced and despatched on time and accurately, eg 100% timely and accurately posting Sales related transactions into the books of accounts (invoicing, settlement discounts calculations, etc); 100% compliance with month end close processes (eg closing/opening of respective periods in line with month end time table, ensuring that settlement discount calculations reverse appropriately); to manage all outstanding credit balances, on a daily basis, in order to achieve/maintain debtor days including factored and non-factored accounts, to manage daily ongoing relationship with factoring agency (HSBC); to reconcile sales ledger, on a monthly basis, control accounts, and individual accounts, investigating and resolving any differences and reporting back to FC; to prepare the weekly Sales Flash (maintaining each report in date order on the IT system); to prepare and present the numbers to the Sales Director/and at the cash flow weekly meetings; to prepare weekly sales flash variances and present/support the Sales Director. Candidate will be a graduate in early stages of studying for ACCA, CIMA seeking an entry point into a progressive FMCG business with household name brands. Whilst exposure to AR is advantageous, aptitude is probably more important.
