Job description

This highly successful regional independent practice, headed up by several ex big-four partners has experienced unparalleled growth over the last few years; and provides a friendly, progressive and dynamic environment in which to work. The practice is offering the superb opportunity for someone either AAT qualified or currently studying their AAT; with at least one year's accounts preparation experience within a practice; to work in their audit and accounts team; and at the same time receive study support in respect of ACCA or ACA. After that the role will provide excellent prospects for progression and further training support and development.Essential requirements for the role are:- previous experience in an accountancy practice;- experience of book-keeping using Sage line 50;- is familiar with the completion of VAT returns and income and corporation tax computations; comfortability in a client facing role, confident communicator who is also well presented and organised; previous experience of preparing from manual records and SAGE of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, audit exempt limited companies; experience of use of Word or Excel; beneficial requirements: experience of limited company audits; preparation of management accounts for clients; involvement in charity accounts or Solicitors Accounts rules work; Clean Driving License and availability of a car; good all round IT skills.
