Job description
A Trainee Assistant Accountant is required on a 6 to 9 month contract to attend to the following duties: assist with the management accounts, including prepayments and accruals and the posting of relevant journals, VAT and intrastat, stock reports, reconciliation of various control accounts, producing weekly and monthly sales information, financial analysis and other ad hoc duties. The candidate will ideally be working towards Accounts qualification and have relevant accounts experience. It is essential that the candidate has the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines and must also possess strong Excel skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to provide accountancy support to the Finance department and to develop themselves as an Accountant. It is also essential that the successful candidate is able to speak fluent French. My client is an expanding Manufacturing and Distribution business based in South Derby and it is a place where the successful candidate can gain a varied, hands-on role within finance. There is free on site car parking and also a friendly and relaxed working environment. Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
