Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for two distinct but similar product lines in the high-growth Mission Systems Integration (MSI) business of Raytheon Systems Limited. You will oversee the following processes: Earned Value Management (EVM), budgeting, cost and schedule control & reporting, estimate at complete preparation, all aspects of financial planning as well as being the team lead for 3-4 finance personnel across three operational sites. A key emphasis will be on forecasting and variance analysis. The Finance Manager must also ensure programmes are being managed within the latest Estimate at Completion (EAC) as well conduct monthly EACs and weekly monitoring of EV reporting for internal reporting. The selected individual must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and will be counted on to provide proactive strategic input to the Programme Manager and customers and provide leadership to the entire Finance team.
Qualifications:
- Proven and relevant work experience in a proactive pressurised environment.
- Practical experience in providing financial support for contracts utilising Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) including the ability to organise, prepare, report and analyse EVMS data.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilise programme management systems and tools; and independently create and accurately analyse cost data.
- Experience in cost proposal process, including estimating, pricing, basis-of-estimate generation and contract negotiation support.
- Good organisational skills in leading/coordinating programme personnel toward common finance goals by setting priorities and working within deadlines.
- Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (contracts/commercial, operations, engineering, etc) in programme development and execution.
- Aerospace or Defence industry experience.
- Excellent desktop computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Experience operating in a highly matrix environment with home office in the UK and programme oversight in the US.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and operating in an unstructured environment.
- Ability to travel to multiple UK locations.
